Mens Division

The Men's Division competes in the Brisbane Hockey Association competition that runs from April until September. The Association conducts three separate men's competitions:

  • Brisbane Hockey League

  • Classic Hockey League

  • Veterans Hockey League

The Brisbane Hockey League

  • Players 14 years of age and above are eligible to play in the competition but those aged 17 and under require written parental permission.
  • The competition consists of 5 divisions that contest up to 3 rounds of 7 fixtures.
  • Fixtures are played on one of two water based artificial surfaces at The State Hockey Centre at Colmslie and at Burringbar Park, Chermside.
  • Divisions 1,2 and 3 normally play on Saturday afternoons/evenings
  • Divisions 4 and 5 play on Sunday afternoon /evenings
  • Training takes place on the artificial surface on a Thursday evening at the State Hockey Centre at Colmslie.
  • Fitness training takes place at O'Grady Park on Tuesday evenings

The Classic Hockey League

  • Players 14 years of age and above are eligible to play in the competition but those aged 17 and under require written parental permission.
  • The competition consists of 2 divisions which contest up to 3 rounds of 7 fixtures
  • Fixtures are played on grass on Saturday afternoons at Shaw Park at Kalinga.
  • Training takes place on the artificial surface on a Thursday evening at the State Hockey Centre at Colmslie.

Veterans Hockey League

  • Players become eligible in the year they turn 40
  • The competition consists of 2 divisions that contest up to 3 rounds of 7 fixtures.
  • Fixtures are played on Tuesday nights on the water based artificial surface at the State Hockey Centre at Comslie.
  • Players are welcome to train with the other divisions on the artificial surface on a Thursday evening at the State Hockey.
