Important 2023 Club Dates

Pre Season Fitness

Pre Season fitness for 2023 season is over and training is on see below.

Trials – Location

All trials will take place at Easts Hockey Tiger Turf (EHTT) or Grass field, Clem Jones Centre, Carina, unless otherwise stated.
Trials are taking place during Jan-Mar 2023. Please keep an eye on this page and emails for dates and times.

Easts Senior Women Trials/Training – *2023*

Seniors pre-season fitness will commence in the new year. It is an open invitation to women across the divisions and will be run by Ben Richardson!
Dates: Mon 9th Jan, Wed 11th Jan, Mon 16th Jan, 6:30pm – 7:30pm at EHTT Grass fields.

Womens Training

• Training for Div 1 Monday 6-7pm starting Monday 30th January 2023 and
• Trialing for Div 2-3 Wednesday 18th Jan 6:30-7:30pm
• Trialing for Div 4-6 Wednesday 18th Jan 7:30-8:30pm
• Trialing for Div 1-3 Wednesday 25th Jan 6:30-7:30pm
• Trialing for Div 4-6 Wednesday 25th Jan 7:30-8:30pm

Please arrive 30mins before the games start time above to warm up and get team allocations before taking the field. Players who have training singlets, please bring them along! Before selections please train with the division you are trialling for.

Womens Trials (At Easts on the Turf)

Please arrive 30 minutes before your session time, please also register before hand;

Womens Grass Team 2023

If you are interested in playing in a Senior Women’s grass team on Saturday afternoon at Downey Park, would you be send an EOI to  eastswomen@gmail.com

Senior men’s pre-season fitness will commence in 2023. It is an open invitation to men across the divisions. Tue (10th,17th, 24th Jan), Thu (12th,19th, 26th Jan) at the EHTT Grass fields 6-7pm.

Wednesday 25th January – Turf Training – 5:30pm to 6:30pm

Grass Girls

Wednesday 8th Feb – JG/U13/U11 – 5:30pm to 6:30pm
Wednesday 15th Feb – U7/U9 – 4:30pm to 5:30pm

Trials – Turf

In relation to trials for the upcoming season if your daughter is intending to trial for Junior Turf, key dates are noted below. An email will be distributed in the New Year outlining trial teams, selectors and the final selection process. The previous Team Selection Policy is attached for reference.

Second Trial – Friday 10^th February 6pm – 9pm @ EHTT

Turf Goal Keeper Trials

Tuesday 24th January – 5pm to 6pm

Tuesday 31st January – 5pm to 6pm

(All GK’s have been advised about the trials)

Wolf Cup

We will be submitting a team again for Wolf Cup that is played annually and organised by the Kedron Wavell club. It is typically a group of JT1’s and 2’s girls and this year will be played on 26^th and 27^th February at Kedron. Further information will be provided in the New Year.

Easts Junior Boys Trials/Training – *2023*

u7/u9 Boys: 

• Training commences Tuesday 28th February (Grass)

Red Roo Cup (hosted by UQ):

• Saturday 25th February at UQ
• 2 J’s teams have been entered.  Final composition of teams to be confirmed
